Current Lab Members

Amanda Kruczkowski is from Fairfax, VA and has been a member of the lab since Fall 2019. She is studying Psychology and Family Sciences. In the future, Amanda hopes to work with children with intellectual disabilities. She enjoys reading and training her new German shepherd puppy.

Ash Pechon is a sophomore from Hurricane, West Virginia. She is double majoring in Psychology and Sociology with minors in Criminology and Philosophy. After college, Ash plans to continue her education and purse a PhD in Psychology. 

Elizabeth Shaf is from Charleston, West Virginia. She is currently a sophomore majoring in Psychology in the Psychology Scholars program and minoring in Spanish. She plans to pursue a doctorate in Occupational Therapy after graduating from the University of Kentucky. 

Heidi Waterman is a senior from Louisville, Kentucky. She is double majoring in Psychology and History and is earning an Undergraduate Certificate in Social Sciences. After undergrad, Heidi plans on going to law school to study public interest law with a focus on education equity. In her free time, Heidi enjoys olympic lifting, reading, hanging out with friends, watching Grey’s Anatomy, and spending quality time with her cat, Peanut. 

Hollie Clifton is from Corbin, Kentucky. She is a junior majoring in Neuroscience with minors in Psychology and Biology. She is a pre-medicine student with hopes of becoming a pediatrician. 

Isha Jogani is from India. Currently, she is a senior majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychology. She is on the pre-dental track and plans to attend Dental school after her undergraduate education. In Isha’s free time, she enjoys reading, dancing, and hanging out with friends. 

Jana Shelley is from Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She is a third year student majoring in Psychology and minoring in Family Science. After undergraduate, Jana plans to obtain her doctoral degree in Psychology and further her career researching children’s development. 

Julie Shirah is a graduate student who entered the Developmental, Social, Health Psychology PhD program in Fall 2020. She has many research interests relating to cognitive development. For her master’s thesis she is interested in how to improve individuals’ understanding of mathematics through activating prior knowledge and providing feedback.

Lexee McDonald is a Human Health Sciences major on an occupational therapy track with a minor in Dance. She hopes to specialize in pediatrics. Lexee has been a member of our lab since Fall 2019 and has coded over 2,000 math problems!
